Spent the night at an eclectic bed and breakfast, MoMa Nice, run by a hip couple. Peter is Danish and Valerie is French, both are artists. This funky B&B is in an old hôtel particulier (private house) just a bit out of the hustle & bustle of the vieux port and center of Nice.
The B&B is on a small side street of private homes and old elegant buildings and is a short, easy, tram ride to the Promenade des Anglais and the famous food & produce market. The fragrance of orange trees and a blooming linden trees filled our senses.

The house is a heterogeneous mix of salvaged antiques and furniture. Valerie proudly announced that nothing (aside from the bedding, linens, & mattresses) in the b&b is new. Everything is quirky, kitschy, and recycled. Our tiny room overlooked the street from the 1st floor (kinda noisy) but the comfy bed with plush orange bed covers and pillows promised an excellent night of sleep.
After checking in and meeting the family and two resident kitties, and confirming that the Wi-Fi was working, we headed into the old port and to the Promenade des Anglais in the sunshine.

We had booked a dinner at MoMa and had a lovely time in the garden with the kids & cats and parents and great food (spinach tagliatelle with pistou and lardons, salad, tiramisu).
