Wake Up! Paris Quartier d’été is back!

Twenty years ago, the first Paris Quarter d’été festival was held in order to “wake up the city” during the summer lull that tends to sweep Paris from late July through the end of August. Starting today, the festival is back for its 20th year, and this year’s Paris Quarter d’été promises to be the most dynamic to date.
Music, film, theatre, dance, circus acts, and other difficult-to-define forms of performance art will sweep the city in a series of shows and exhibitions that run from now until August 9th. For the full program, click here. The performances will take place in parks, theaters, churches and numerous other venues throughout the city. Ticket prices vary (there are reduced fees for youth, students, and seniors), and many of the performances are free.
