Still in Italy, Paris Here I Come
June 25, 2012
I’m still in Italy. The coffee is still fast and the Italians are still ever so sweet. I’m still in Italy, but not for long.
Bogliasco (above) & San Disiderio, Liguria, Italy
I will soon be leaving the country of sunshine, smiles and scooters where everything is possible and everything is doable.
Genoa, Italy
I will leave behind, gelato, pesto, focaccia, 1€20 cappuccinos and laundry hanging to dry in the street. I will be welcomed by flaky butter croissants, crispy baguettes, stinky cheese and laundry hanging to dry in my apartment. I will leave the sea, sun and heat for cold, rain and smog. Paris, here I come!
Genoa, Italy
Will I miss Italy? Certo! Do I adore Paris despite the bad weather, expensive coffee and often grumpy Parisians? Bien sûr!
Bogliasco, Liguria, Italy
And now, mi scusa and pardonnez moi, I am off to the beach with a quick coffee stop along the way and a gelato on the way back. Andiamo!

Hi Amy. Peeling was hard, let me tell you. But Paris is lovely, as usual . . .even with the less then ideal weather. Today was hot and there was even some sun!
Italy will miss you I’m sure, but Paris awaits!
Wow, now that’s the attitude. With your photos and descriptions, I don’t know how you could peel yourself away from Italia… except, oui, we are talking about a return to Paris…
I agree… the colour in the photos is beautiful! And I really enjoy the what am I leaving VS what am I coming back to writing. All full of positives!

A presto Anna! Baci…
