January 3, 2014
Before everyone gets a proper start on their New Year’s resolutions, we wanted to take a moment to look back over the past year and to thank all the wonderful and brilliantly talented contributors who help to make this blog what it is.
Before launching into all the exciting things we have in the works for 2014, here are some of our favorite moments of 2013:
We did our best to keep up with a number of exciting new restaurants and bars, including our picks of Paris’ best new cocktail bars, wine bars, hotel bars, and the best places to get really good coffee.
Braden Perkins and Laura Adrian (Diane Yoon)
We interviewed the lovely Laura Adrian and Braden Perkins of Verjus, Chef Haan Palcu of Le Mary Celeste, and reviewed the scrumptious sandwiches from Verjus and Frenchie, but the opening of Paris’ first cat café really stole the show.
Cafe des Chats (Didier Gauducheau)
SOPI continues to be one of our favorite Paris neighborhoods for eating, shopping and drinking,
Sebastien Gaudard Bakery (Didier Gauducheau)
Bones (Diane Abroad)
Once you’re here, we helped you snag a Frenchman (it’s easier than you think.) Once you’ve snagged him, we gave you some dating tips and ideas on how to spend the perfect Sunday so that you can decide for yourself whether your Parisian Male is charming or cheesy.
We helped you decide if you were a Left Bank or Right Bank Parisian. No matter your inclination, we helped you shop Paris on a budget (oui, c’est possible) and enjoy Paris’ best views even if you’re out dining solo.
Parisian Rooftops (Marceline)
Most of all, we want to thank you, dear readers, for making it all possible. If there’s something you want to see more of in 2014, tell us in the comments!
