Summer is officially upon us when the festival circuit picks back up. Ready to hit the ground running with some live music? Clear your evening and head to l’AEROPORTO at Le Belmont in the 2nd. For more info on the musicians performing, bites and drinks being served, and more, peek here.
And for a little warm-weather shopping, check out Maison de Surf, a pop-up Oxbow boutique. The shop opened today and will run through until the 29th in the Kogan Gallery space in the 2nd.
This weekend is packed with must-dos, but we’re particularly excited about Le Fooding’s biggest event to date, La Revanche des Faubourgs. Celebrating a wonderfully successful 15 years, the event is bringing innovative chefs from around the world – Brooklyn, East Berlin, The Mission – in for three days of eating, dancing, and celebrating.
And if you’re looking for something to do after savoring the fabulous fare Le Fooding will most certainly provide, think of Les Nuits de Paris this Friday night, the Urban Films Festival from the 5-7, and Festival Onze Bouge from the 6-13. Les Nuits de Paris boasts a congregation of some of the city’s favorite food trucks and a specially made art piece at Place de la Republique, as well as other events scattered around the city. Urban Films Festival is part film screenings with the goal of chronicling urban life, and part festival competition that promotes young talent. And finally, Onze Bouge provides a wide spectrum of artistic performances ranging from music to theater, dance to street art.
As for the music scene, we start this weekend with Weather Festival and continue towards the end of the month with Fête de la Musique on June 21, Solidays from June 26 – 29, and Garorock also from June 26 – 29. The likes of Die Antwoord, Alt-J, Brigitte, Christine and the Queens, and A$AP Rocky are coming to town, so be sure to prepare and snatch up tickets soon.
