Now that Paris Fashion Week is over, we can all get back to what we really love… food. Paris’ 20th annual Semaine du Goût (“Taste Week”) kicked off on Saturday and runs through next Sunday, the 18th. During this annual event, Paris becomes even more food-focused than it normally is, celebrating its culinary traditions and spotlighting up-and-coming talent.

Paris fashion week has begun! Goodbye New York, ciao Milan, and bonjour Paris. Since Wednesday, the French capital has become a living preview of what will be in style next spring. And according to the specialists, 2010 looks like it will be a good year for shopping. It’s back! Just as we begin to recover from one Paris fashion week, it seems the next is upon us. As if it lacked for style, Paris becomes that much more fashionable during this week of the year (actually two weeks of the year — Fall and Spring). Towering models wander the streets, the terrace of Café de Flore overflows with fashion insiders, hard-to-get reservations become that much harder to get, and fashionistas linger in the Tuileries before and after the season’s hottest shows.
