Calling all San Francisco film buffs and francophiles … The San Francisco Film Society’s French Cinema Now—a new seven-day annual festival—is taking place from October 28 – November 4.  Co-hosted by the French-American Cultural Society, French Cinema Now “covers a broad spectrum of subject matter and genres and builds a comprehensive picture of the current moment in French cinema.”

In addition to contemporary films by filmmakers such as Michel Gondry and Riad Sattouf, the festival will include screenings of classic films like Truffaut’s “The 400 Blows.”
