January Paris Events: Cake and Beer Pairing, Degas Danse Dessin, Galette des Rois & More

Kick off the New Year in Paris with a month full of events to help you make or break your New Year’s resolutions. From culinary delights to cultural outings here are all the options you need to start your year off right.

Craft beer lovers with a sweet tooth will enjoy three days of cake and beer pairings from January 3-5 at La Fine Mousse brought to you in collaboration with Italian Pastry chef and biérophile Frederica Pinna. For those looking for more plant-based fun, Yes We Green is hosting a vegan wine and food pairing on January 11 and 13- book early to be sure to have a spot.

Head to Paris museums to catch the final days of some stunning expositions including 70 Years of Dior at the Musée des Arts Décoratifs (until January 7) and the Gaughin l’Alchemist Exhibition at Grand Palais (until January 22). Degas Danse Dessin will be running all month at Musée d’Orsay. For more contemporary works, head to Aux Tables du Père La Chaise where painter Caroline Donati will be exposing her work until January 20.

This month American gospel singer Liz McComb comes to the Paris area with her beautiful voice and stirring spirituals and Portuguese rock star the Legendary Tigerman will do a show at the Point Ephémère.

January is Galette des Rois month in France, with bakeries celebrating épiphanie by baking golden frangipane filled cakes. Throughout the entire month you’ll find individual to family sized galettes at every corner bakery, but be sure to try some of the city’s best at world reknown boulangeries including Claire Damon, Du Pain et Des Idées, and Maison Dalloyau.
