What to do in Paris and Online in February

by Ali Postma

February is here already! And it’s certainly chilly outside. Unfortunately, Paris’ museums, theaters, and cinemas did not open as planned on Jan 7. Nor did restaurants, cafés, and bars open on Jan 20. While the vaccine is now available in France, the UK variant of Covid-19 has made its way across the channel and a third lockdown in Paris seems likely. To keep your spirits high, here’s what’s on this month in Paris and online.

Beaux-Arts de Paris has launched the Nouvelle Académie des Amateurs. This new Academy allows you to develop your artistic skills, no matter your level, in one of the most prestigious art schools in Europe. You will be supported by experienced artists and technicians (in French).

Drawing or painting with a live model, anatomy, morphology… The technical workshops are now complemented by thematic workshops, allowing the exploration of portraits and self-portraits, drawing from the works of masters, roaming the city, storyboarding, or drawing objects. Most courses start on Jan 27 or 30 and run until April. If you’re interested, get in quick!
