January Events in Paris: Paris Cocktail Week, Paul Taylor Stand-Up & More

With the holiday whirlwind winding down, we’re enjoying the post-fête calm in Paris. However, January brings its own set of exciting events, like the annual winter soldes and Paris Fashion Week. Here are some other happenings we’re excited for this month:

Supersonic

2016 brought the loss of countless influential artists, including pop idol David Bowie. But prepare to put your red shoes on; Supersonic is honoring his work with a tribute show on the 8th.

Paul Taylor Comedy

Anglo-comedian Paul Taylor has been cracking Francophiles up with his spot-on shorts about French culture quirks and his life in Paris. Taylor will be bringing his stand-up to the stage at Sentier des Halles, with shows kicking off January 13th.

Maison et Objet

Design lovers flock to Paris this month for celebrated trade show, Maison et Objet, running from January 20 – 24 at Paris Nord Villepinte. With dedicated expositions and conferences for both Designers and Retailers, this is a must for those working in the design world and amateurs alike.

Paris Cocktail Week

Towards the end of the month, when winter hibernation tendencies have set in, we have a great reason to get out of the house: Paris Cocktail Week is returning January 21 – 28 and is the perfect cold-weather pick-me-up. Sample the best recipes in over 50 bars across the city, get a classic cocktail lesson with Cocktail Academy, or pick up a gift from Paris Cocktail Week’s boutique.

Musée Jacquemart-André

Inject your weekends with a dose of classical music thanks to the Musée Jacquemart-André. From January 26 – March 5, the charming museum presents Autour du Piano, evening performances of classic piano greats. For more information on performance dates, see here.
