It’s hard for me to pass by the Vaissellerie St. Antoine without stepping inside to poke around for a few moments. I inexplicably find myself stroking the blades of knives, holding quirky corkscrews up to the light, brandishing honey-drizzlers (can’t live without one of those), and faux-sipping out of pretty ceramic mugs. Mind you, these actions are involuntary and probably make me look like a crazy person.

In general, I lead a pretty nomadic lifestyle and try to keep my worldly possessions to a minimum, but this shop makes me want to settle down and start hoarding kitchen supplies. Everything is so cute and colorful, and some if it is mini. Mini-things get me every time.
My favorite items in this shop are mini ceramic espresso cups that are meant to look like crinkled disposable plastic cups (they come in larger sizes as well). I love the design and the array of colors, and they make great gifts. I brought 8 back to New York for a friend last fall without any trouble, and I’m thinking of getting a set for myself, though I’m not sure why. I don’t actually have an espresso machine, but some things are just too cute to pass up (see photo below).

Hi V,
Thanks so much for pointing that out! I’ve updated the post. We do apologize for any confusion that might have caused.
I grew up a few blocks away. Love that shop, though I’m always scared I’ll break something everytime I go in 😉
This is one of my favorite stops in Paris! I love the Revol cups I have brought several sets back each time I have visited. We use them everyday here!!
