Nuit Blanche, Maya-Anaïs Yataghène
Paris Fashion Week has kicked off and the weather become a perfect mix of cool and sunny. Fall is in full swing this month. Coming off La Fête de la Gastronomie last weekend, we start off October with some fabulous foodie events as well as a Saturday night on the town.
Nuit Blanche, ancorena
Nuit Blanche is tomorrow, bringing special exhibitions and events, as well as late-night metro service. For information on the evening’s festivities, peek here. We’re particularly looking forward to what Nuit Blanche x Le Hasard Ludique has in store.
Old Fashioned Week, Emily Jackson
The arts happenings continue with Picasso Mania kicking off at the Grand Palais on the 7th and famed show FIAC coming into town the 22 – 25. For a fall dose of NYC street photography, check out the Sophie Bramly exposition called Walk This Way, on view at Colette until October 24.
Priceless Soupers, Melissa Leroux; Old Fashioned Week, Jeff Wilcox
Le Fooding presents their next Priceless Souper, La Premiere Séance, at the Cinéma Etoile St Germain on the 6th and Old Fashioned Week, a city-wide events series dedicated to the traditional cocktail favorite, runs through the 7th. Take a peek at the 42 participating bars here.
Ibeyi, Rebecca Katya Lyon
The music scene is showing up this month, starting with a funk-rap Oddisee show at La Bellevilloise on the 6th, Maribou State on the following night at the same venue, and Ibeyi on the 12th at Le Trianon.
Pitchfork Festival, Maeva Pensivy; Simon
MaMA Festival, put on by Paris Bouge, is coming October 14 – 16 and Pitchfork’s weekend falls over Halloween, beginning with concerts and Klin d’Oeil show in the Grande Halle at La Villette on the 29th. I’m most looking forward to catching the Thursday and Friday shows, especially Thom Yorke, Beach House, and Godspeed You! Black Emperor.
Salon du Vintage, Olivier Châtenet
The weekend of October 17 – 18 is for stocking up on those cozy fall wares thanks to the Salon du Vintage at Le Carreau du Temple. Because there are few better ways to spend a cool weekend afternoon than doing a little seasonal shopping, from a 70s-inspired wool trench to a unique boot to carry you into winter.
