Easter weekend in Paris is a time of celebration. Spring is in full bloom and holiday decorations are found throughout the city. This is the perfect time to explore all Paris has to offer.
For children, Pâques in Paris offers a multitude of activities. Spring weather gives way to jardins in bloom. Little ones will gaze in awe at the sweet creations filling the windows of every chocolatier. Opportunities to decorate and search for Easter eggs are plenty, as is the chance to visit the Easter Bunny.
This year Easter Sunday falls on April 17, and the official French holiday is the following day.

This timeless Parisian hotel is the perfect “home away from home” in the heart of the City. The central location offers an ideal base for exploring Paris.
For Easter weekend, a special experience awaits. The Hotel offers an elaborate Easter buffet of Pascal lamb, seafood, seasonal vegetables, and pâtés. To the delight of children and adults alike, the pastry chef will prepare a range of chocolate desserts.
A large egg hunt is organized within the hotel by Les Ateliers de Macha. Egg hunters will have fun exploring the hotel and grounds, with no area left untouched.

Chocolate lovers will love visiting the Easter pop-up boutique here, dedicated to the art of chocolate. Here you will find the exclusively designed Hotel Lutetia Easter egg, as well as a variety of other chocolate creations. This chocolate wonderland is open from the April 8-18.
Families wishing to explore outside the city need venture no further than the Trianon Palace of Versailles. This chateau retreat is set among Versailles gardens, and located between the Palace of Versailles and the Grand Trianon. Families can enjoy a traditional Easter buffet while admiring the historic decor of this Palace. Children can participate in the Easter egg hunt in the Royal Gardens. Holiday themed activities are also on offer.
Explore the Parks
With the parks of Paris in full Spring splendor, Easter weekend is perfect for spending time in nature. Take advantage of seasonal offerings at local markets, or pick up a pre-made basket for an outdoor picnic. The large parks of Paris offer activities from trampolines, pony rides, playgrounds, carousels, and pond boating.
Spend an afternoon shopping on Boulevard Saint-Germain-des-Prés. You’ll discover a variety of artisan products and holiday delicacies. The Village is open April 9-May 2.
Using the gardens as inspiration, budding artists can attend a creative Easter egg workshop. Children will design their own keepsake eggs with paint and fabric.
Making its Easter weekend debut is a hunt for Easter eggs high above Paris. Families can visit a special animation of a mini-farm with animals, duck fishing, gardening, and a workshop.
Visit Paris Bercy Village this Easter for an interactive family day. Children search for chocolate eggs in the Village. The Easter Bunny is on hand to take photos and guide children in their hunt.
Parc Zoologique de Paris celebrates Easter with an egg hunt and other activities in the Clairières area. For children under 6, who each get a 10-minute session and the chance to find up to 5 eggs.
