With summer fully upon us, many traditional French classics, like steak frites or bœuf bourguignon, are less tempting at mealtimes. Much more adapted to the warm weather are refreshing salads. Parisians do love their salads. There’s even one named after the city– la salade parisienne. While salads can be found on many brasserie menus, you can find delicious and creative options at these venues serving the best salads in Paris.

Mûre

Meaning ripe in French, you can’t eat fresher or more sustainable salads than at this restaurant in the 2nd arrondissement. Its ingredients come from its own farm located near Paris or from local or nearby culinary artisans. Its menu, including a number of salads, varies depending on what’s ripe for the picking.

Maison Plisson

Known for sourcing top quality ingredients from smaller producers, you’ll have nothing but the best seasonal vegetables, fruit, cheeses or meats on your plate at la Maison Plisson. They have a lovely terrace on the Marché Saint-Honoré square and another venue in the Upper Marais. After you’ve feasted on their innovative salads, duck into their shop to pick up some ingredients to make your own at home.

Cali Sisters
