Ground Control, the 18th arrondissement’s beloved ephemeral summer hangout spot, has changed its zip code. After two years in its original location at a former railway warehouse, the pop-up has moved into a former post office space in the 12th, near the Gare de Lyon.
The Berlin-meets-Brooklyn décor is hip and repurposed, with lounge chairs, wooden picnic tables, and scattered foosball tables dotting the space. The vendors chosen to provide bites and beverages are some of Paris’ most buzzy street-food names: burgers from PNY burgers, Argentinian BBQ by Asado Club, coffee and pastries by Ten Belles, Breton crepes by Rozell & Co, Italian sandwiches by Peppa Porchetta, and Danish smoked fish by RØK by WoodMen.
In addition to the top-notch food and drink options, the new incarnation also has a community garden space curated by La Ferme de Gally, yoga classes, DIY seminars, DJ sets, and more.
Ground Control – 81 rue du Charolais, 75012. Open Tuesday – Saturday 11am – 11:45pm, Sunday 11am – 10pm. Metro: Gare de Lyon (lignes 1 & 14).
