Spring is here! Finally we’re getting some blue skies, sunshine, and warmer weather. The cherry blossom, magnolia, and wisteria trees are in bloom and Easter is on the horizon (check out some of our favorite French chocolates). Here’s what’s on this April in the city:

Festival Circulation(s) – CENTQUATRE-PARIS – April 2 – May 29
Festival Circulation(s) is dedicated to emerging photography in Europe. 30 artists of 15 nationalities are exhibited at CENTQUATRE-PARIS. This year there is a focus on the Armenian artistic scene. You can also see works exhibited in various metro stations.

Paris Marathon – April 3
The Paris Marathon is one of the most prestigious, and biggest marathons in the world. Over the 42.195 km distance, you will have the chance to discover some of Paris’ most famous sites.

Paris Art Design – Jardin des Tuileries – April 5 – 10
Paris Art Design brings together the best French and international galleries of historical, modern and contemporary design. Discover decorative arts and design from the 20th and 21st century.

Art Paris – Grand Palais Éphémère – April 7 – 10
Art Paris is a contemporary art fair with a selection of 130 galleries from twenty countries. The 24th edition is committed to sustainability, with two themes: “Natural Histories” and “Art & Environment”.

Festival du Livre de Paris – Grand Palais Éphémère – April 22 – 24
Discover authors, publishers, and booksellers at this celebration reading. The festival reflects the extraordinary diversity of French publishing, the creativity of authors, and the richness of Indian literary production.
Cherry blossom, magnolia, and wisteria spotting – various locations
Check out the cherry blossom, magnolia, and wisteria trees in bloom before they lose their flowers. For cherry blossoms, go to Jardin des Plantes, Champ de Mars, Square Gabriel-Pierné, outside Shakespeare and Company, and Square Paul-Langevin. For magnolias, go to: Jardin de Palais Royal, Jardin des Tuileries, Jardin du Luxembourg, Champ de Mars, and the side of Hôtel de Ville. For wisteria, head to the Grande Mosquée de Paris and Rue de l’Abreuvoir.
