Hi Carin, your observations of French women are correct. We do not like to look overdone but prefer simple beauty. Like many women out there, we absolutely love pampering and going to the Salons de Beauté on a regular basis. Thanks for sharing your article. It made me want to book a weekend in Paris, haven’t visited for a few years. A bientôt.

What IS it about French women and no makeup and perfect skin? I’m convinced it’s all that chocolate and red wine. Antioxidants.

Haha! Yes, you might be on to something.

I love going to Sephora but the thought of going to a Parisian salon or make/beauty place intimidates me. Maybe I’ll go next time I’m in Paree and experience how to be a Parisienne even just for a day. Great article!

You shouldn’t feel intimidated! Although I know what you mean, but all the people at the beauty places I’ve been to have been really kind and helpful so far. Glad you liked it!
