It goes without saying that France is renowned for its beauty products. From L’Oréal, Lancôme, and Guerlain to cult pharmacy brands Avène, Clarins, and La Roche-Posay, the options are truly endless. Recently, France is riding the clean beauty wave with new stores such as Oh My Cream! and brands focusing on natural or organic ingredients. With Valentine’s Day around the corner, products from one of these brands would make great gifts for the woman in your life, friend (we’re all for Galentine’s Day), or to simply treat yourself:

PATYKA

PATYKA is a maison Parisienne de cosmétique bio. Back in the 1920s, a Parisian apothecary created a serum of essential and vegetable oils called huile absolue. Decades later, it was re-discovered and PATYKA was born. The brand is certified organic under the COSMOS label by ECOCERT, and its products are 100% made in France.

PATYKA works with France’s best farmers to harvest botanical active ingredients of the highest quality, as well as artisans and industrialists to develop their delicate fragrances and innovative packaging. They’ve also partnered with Reforest’Action, planting one tree every two hours.

AIME

AIME is a skincare brand by influencer Mathilde Lacombe. But rather than a product that you put on your skin, AIME’s products are dietary supplements that treat your skin from the inside out. Their formulas are created from probiotics, minerals, and natural ingredients. All of their products are made in France, from Brittany and Normandy to Provence.

AIME has partnered with 1% for the Planet, committing to give 1% of their annual revenue to Planète Urgence. This NGO works to protect forests, and preserve the irreplaceable biodiversity of animals and plants they shelter, and the people who rely on them.
