It is hard to believe that yet another year has come to a close, and in ringing in 2015 we find ourselves both grateful for the year past and eager for all this new year will bring.
Mori Yoshida, Sivan Askayo
We at the HiP Paris Blog could not be more thankful for our wonderfully talented writers and photographers, as well as the continued support of our readers, all of whom make this blog what it is.
Le Bon Georges, Palmyre Roigt
We have some wonderful new things planned for 2015, but in the meantime we would like to give a nod to some of our favorite Paris moments of 2014:
Clamato, Didier Gauducheau
We discovered some fabulous new restaurant and cafés – like Clamato, Ma Cocottes, and Le Bon Georges – and favorite non-French eateries, including the best Indian and Mexican fare, without forgetting our and Japanese pastry tour of Paris. We also spotlighted a few wonderful women of Paris’ food-and-wine scene; we commented on the popular farm-to-table movement, and we even had the opportunity to sit down with famed Paris-transplant David Lebovitz and the trendsetting duo behind The Paris Pop-up.
Craft Beer in Paris, Palmyre Roigt
We delved into the growing craft beer scene in Paris and highlighted those bars and restaurants that are giving beer a seat at the table alongside the long-venerated wines of France. We also found the adorable new concept store, Sept Cinq, and wine shop, Ici-Même. And, speaking of, we also visited one of France’s most loved wine regions, Burgundy, where we took a closer look at some fabulous women winemakers, and dished on which bottles are tasty and affordable.
Buying a home in the French countryside, kat…
Aside from food and wine, we did what the French do best and strolled around the city, taking in the best it has to offer. We toured Paris’ flea markets, lingerie shops, candy stores, movie houses, and more.
La Table de Cybèle, Palmyre Roigt
And we can’t forget our tips and tricks on how to live like use vraie Parisienne, from our favorite pharmacie beauty products, to the best picnic spots around Paris, and tips on how to accessorize like a Parisian. We gave you the essentials: a Fashion Week recap, tips on to how to decorate like a Parisian, and even how to plan Valentine’s Day à la française in the City of Light.

Bois de Boulogne, Palmyre Roigt
We got to know new pockets of the city and revisited beloved ones, comparing Williamsburg to Ile Saint-Louis, sharing a round-up of the best of the 8ème, the Goutte d’Or, and Montreuil…there was much to be discovered.
La Guinguette de Neuilly, Palmyre Roigt
We worked with some truly talented photographers this year as well. Thank you to Palmyre Roigt, Didier Gauducheau, and Carin Olsson for keeping the HiP Paris Blog looking gorgeous.
Clamato, Didier Gauducheau
And we would be remiss to not giving a very special thank you to our lovely Editorial Assistants who, beyond writing and photographing, worked tirelessly to keep the HiP Paris Blog up and running. Isabel and Emma – merci à vous!
